Why this fic must be read: This fic blew my mind away. The writing is beautiful; I've read it three times so far, and my love for it grows with each reading. This fic takes the "deal with the devil" theme and turns it into a deeply intense and unsettling explanation of the origins of good and evil and how the devil came to be the enemy of God. Witchofthedog's version of Dean will go to any length to protect Sam, including standing up to the devil himself. This is exactly how I see Dean reacting to a situation--putting his brother's safety ahead of his own.
