yuletide, this story reads like a really, really good episode. There's a supernatural thing to deal with that's both sad and scary. There's great insight into the brothers' relationship, and especially Dean's protective feeling for Sam, reaching back all the way to that fateful day of the fire. The author captures the characters' voices and their brotherly closeness so well it's a treat to read. And the way the story ends is just perfect.
