Why this must be read:
So, an entomologist and a medical doctor meet at a conference in Atlanta . . .
Gil had thought it would be awkward, trapped into conversation with a total stranger, but somehow he hadn’t felt the need to say anything in almost 30 minutes. Dr. House, or ‘House’ as he insisted on being called, had busied himself rifling through the bar and the desk drawers, occasionally pocketing something he liked and keeping up a running commentary at the expense of the hotel staff. It was incredibly mean-spirited but… amusing.
