Why this must be read:
While I love the X-Men movies, they're enough of an AU that I generally pass on the fanfic, because the characters and relationships are so different from the comics. The exception to that is Hank/Bobby, because the movieverse has room for fantastic lil!Bobby fic. Here, Bobby is singularly unimpressed by Hank's melodrama about the way he looks and pushes Hank to get his head out of his ass to help someone else.
After I looked him up and down, I smirked. "Well that's kind of a let down." "Excuse me?" "You built it up so much I expected something with more mucus or kinda black plague like. Instead, you're more or less a giant Cookie Monster."
