STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9/DOCTOR WHO (PG)
Title: An Element of Blank by Calapine
Pairing: n/a
Author on LJ:
calapine
Author Website: Worlds As I Know Them
Why this must be read:
I'm not usually a fan of stories that crossover two science fiction shows. Usually the attempts to somehow create a cohesive story out of two complex and often contradictory universes just don't work for me. But this story works. I didn't have any trouble acceping the crossover between the universes and the characters rang completely true. Doctor Who is slowly becoming my new shiny fandom, and while I'm not as familiar with the Doctor as I am with the characters of Star Trek, I completely identified with the Doctor presented here. I don't want to summarize the plot or give anything away, but I will say that when I finished the story, I really wanted a sequel.
A very good story and an excellent blending of universes.
