Myths and Revelations, by crimsonquills

blueraccoon and I'll be driving the NCIS crack van for the month of June. While my personal preferences lean toward slash of the Gibbs/DiNozzo variety, I'm going to do my best to include all types of fic this month.

Why this must be read::
While I admit to being very slightly biased toward this fic because I've had the good fortune to beta it, the truth is that Nix has created an amazing world with this series. James and Wolfling created the Horses of a Different Color universe a while back, and Nix decided to adapt it to NCIS. Gibbs makes a wonderful centaur, and Tony has his hands full adapting to both the reality--and his new relationship with Gibbs as a result. While each story builds on the one before, Nix has designed the series so that each story stands alone. However, I'd still recommend reading them all in order, simply because they're wonderful and deserve to be read.
Tony blinked, unable to not look, but before he could even succumb to a blush Gibbs changed and suddenly the fact that his boss was naked was the last thing on his mind.
Gibbs's belly and flanks no longer flowed into ordinary hips and groin and legs. Instead they gave way smoothly to a short, fine coat of hair and the rise of withers and eventually to hard, smooth hooves. Gibbs's body stretched out behind him, the long lines of an equine back ending in powerful hindquarters and the smooth fall of his tail.
"You're a centaur," Tony said, stunned, and was briefly, powerfully glad that that was what ended up coming out of his mouth. He could only imagine Gibbs's reaction if he'd called him a horse.
"Yeah," Gibbs said, surprise leaking into his voice. "Have you met others of my kind?"
Tony tore his gaze from Gibbs's new--old? real?--body and forced himself to focus on the man's face. "Others?" he asked weakly.
"I'll take that as a no," Gibbs said wryly.
