Why this must be read:

This one should be read because it plays on the theme of mind/illusion/perception/craziness that Farscape loved to explore. Once again, poor John is crazy as loon, we think. The entire story is told through an outsider's perspective and allows us a chance to see John's experience with new eyes.

But yeah, Crichton was weird shit. No one was quite sure where he'd come from. He was on some astronaut program, some of the guys say he even made space, 'touched the cosmos' as Larry the Poet put so succinctly. But hell, who watches the space program anymore? So IASA are launching up from the cape. Big fucking deal. It is a commonly known fact that ALL pilots, all soldiers, all withered ward nurses with chapped hands and loose lips want to be astronauts. And we're military people, we LIVE for our deep-seated resentment issues -- so the 'nauts aren't well liked.

It looks like the mod hasn't added it to the memories (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=crack_van&keyword=Farscape+Fanfic+Recs&sortby=des) yet, so you could probably delete and repost if you wanted, and had another rec ready - but in this case it looks like the rec inspired a lot of comments, too, so you might want to just leave it, no harm done.

I just wasn't sure if you knew about the list in the memories, as we've had some new reccers the past few months... :)
