When "I'm Sorry" Just Isn't Enough by read_300300 (NC-17)

Fandom: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Pairing: Nick/Greg
Author on LJ: [info]read_300300
Author Website: N/A, if so, let me know.
Why this must be read:

The subject in this fic is not one confronted much, because come on, how many people want to read about it? The only other fandom I've seen it used [and even then, it's not much] is Queer as Folk. Does that give it away? Well, if so, sorry, and if not, you can guess pretty easily from the first few paragraphs. The whole story is intense, and written in so few words makes it more powerful and this author makes you feel exactly what the two boys are, or what exact emotions she's trying to show and play off of. This was only posted on the Nick and Greg community only a day or two ago, and it's already one of my favorites. There's these few lines in the beginning that really touches me, and just connects you to them. You won't be able to stop reading once you start, and won't want to read only once. Come on, you know you want to.

Bits and pieces of memory called to him, drawing him down into the world of ‘maybes,’ the crucial moments when he could have altered the course of his life. The mistakes he had made were glaringly obvious; the pain he would cause was even more so.
