This is a look into the near future, at the family of the Sun-Crichtons.
The first time he’d stepped from their transport, the sight immediately drew his attention, and he couldn’t help the smile that emerged. He’d seen a lot over of the cycles. Too much if you asked him at the right moment, but now it left John with the relief that that there were still some things that could give him the old sense of wonderment.
He’d stood there transfixed for several microts until Aeryn had given him a pat on the back and told him that the physicians were waiting for them. She’d pointed to where D’Argo had run ahead impatient and ready to explore the gardens that Pilot had shown them earlier in the day.
