Why this story must be read:

This is a bit of a lighter story -- it's fun, funny, and darn it, it never fails to make smile. I consider it to be more of a banter piece than Nine/Rose/Jack: there's nothing here that couldn't have taken place in canon.

The TARDIS has broken down, and Trivial Pursuit seems to be the method of choice to pass the time.



"No way," Rose said. "I've never played poker before, but I'm betting you two have. How about I Spy?"

"Boring," Jack said, waving his hand dismissively. "When I worked as a spy, it turned out to be all watching front doors from cramped cars and not being allowed to distract the guard."

"How would you have distracted the guard, anyway? Played strip poker?" Rose enquired almost-snidely.

"I would have impressed the guard with my wide knowledge of art, literature, and science," Jack replied loftily.

Rose opened her mouth to answer, but the Doctor held up a commanding hand. "Trivial Pursuit it is, then."
