I'm actually a little afraid of this pairing, but man the story is so good it makes me like it. It does such a good job of setting atmosphere, and it's sharp with details even while making everything vague, hazy and little unreal, like maybe you smoked too much pot before reading it. The underlying tension between the characters feels real and pulls you into the otherwise completely unlikely pairing.
