Why this must be read: Frankly, we could all use a good laugh every now and then. This story is genuinely clever and funny and it's hard to find pieces like that in this or any other fandom. It's not particularly deep or metaphysical, but it doesn't need to be - it's a good little piece and it's nice to read those every once in a while.

I just wanted to say, thank you for the rec. I'm flattered and honoured to make your list for the month. And I'm doubly grateful that it led me to this community, as it looks like a great way to test out new fandoms.

It's funny - I was worried when I first posted this story, because it wasn't at all deep or metaphysical, and so I didn't think it would add anything to the fandom, but you're right: sometimes it's nice just to read (or write) something just for the fun of it.
