Woven through the narrative of DMC, this series of interconnected scenes illuminates both Norrington's emotional state during the movie and his motivations for his actions. It's a deft piece of writing, tight prose and sharp, precise scenes that integrate perfectly into the flow of the movie, both feeding off of and complementing the source material in the way the best fanfic does.
