This must have been one of the first U.N.C.L.E. fics I've ever read (read: last year) and it just stuck with me. I have a soft spot for old geezers and Ren writes them very well. Like her other fics, Ren has a very poetic way of writing, and it's safe to say that it's brilliantly beautiful.

Ages of Beauty has Napoleon and Illya in a long term relationship, with Napoleon describing his Illya when he's 75.

I will admit though, that there is one thing I would alter about my Illya, the fact that he seems to intentionally keep hold of those grotesque reading glasses that were often found balancing on the end of his nose in his former years as number 2. They have somehow bred and its successors are regularly found in the most oddest of places.
For my Illya is vain now, he won’t acknowledge that he needs his glasses more and more as the years go by. And on several occasions I have come across my volatile Russian with his face practically nose to page in some anarchic text. I agree with his moment of vanity, as they hide his magnificence from me.
