Hello, I'm tree, once again reccing for The X Files. I've been terribly lax and unorganised this month, trying to come up with a theme. So, since it's Valentine's Day quite soon, I thought I'd make this month about comfort fic - things that I read again and again because they make me all gooey inside. Prepare yourselves for mushy MSR!

Why this must be read:

Kelley is a relative newcomer to the XF fanfic scene. She exploded on the mid-year Gossamer update with several MSR fics and was recced very highly all over the place. Her writing is well-crafted, her wielding of emotion subtle and her characterisations of Mulder and Scully profound. This vignette is a lovely bedtime story about the long progression of an unconventional romance.

Me too! Recently I've been trawling through smaller, more specific archives with the assistance of the Wayback Machine and filling up the hard drive. I have this terrible archiving instinct. In order to sleep at night I need to know that, even if the Internet is destroyed, the cream of X-Files fanfic will still live on. Anyway, that was a long way of saying that I archived this one too. :)

ooo, what a good idea. i'd toyed with the idea of making my own little recs site, mostly to keep straight all these bookmarks i've got. but saving them is even better. oh wayback machine, how we love you!
