Why this must be read:
What do NCIS and Sapphire and Steel have in common?
Right, they both have David McCallum in it. Sapphire and Steel ran from 1979 to 1982 and David McCallum played Steel, a hot alien with the ability to heal/’mess with’ time.
How can you make a crossover of NCIS and Sapphire and Steel?
Ren shows you how. It’s fantastic.
Like most shows, Sapphire and Steel have a slash pairing, namely Steel with another element, Silver. Steel, hard and unemotional, and Silver, perky and warm.
Without saying much about the plot (because that would spoil *everything*), Ren manages to combine the two shows brilliantly without making it sound corny or out of character.
Thicker than water may look like a death fic, but it really isn’t!
Excerpt:
Is there a God? Jethro wondered as he sat next to the bed containing the silent occupant. If there was a God then how could it be that here he was watching over the unconscious form of his lover.
Why was this master architect of life punishing him for loving?
Wasn’t this omnipotent being satisfied enough with recalling his beloved Shannon and Kelly to his Godly arms in what seemed almost a life time ago?
What the hell was he being punished for now!
The silence of the room lay heavy. Except for the sounds of the life support machines and Gibbs’ own breath, there was no other interference to impede upon this shocking stage in his life.
How cruel this God was, he asked himself as he focused on the occupant of the hospital bed. What had happened to the familiar glorious sounds now of his long time lover? Where was the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, the loving blue gaze, and the arm that went over his own when ever Duck felt his stress? The evidence was here, all encased in this body devoid of essence at this moment, just hanging by a thread onto the tenacious grip of life.
