Why this must be read: I knew I had to rec at least one of Mira's fics, because she's simply one of the best writers around. Also, she has the gift of writing every single member of the Fellowship in a way that makes them seem utterly real and likable. Which is why I chose this story, which plays with the different dynamics in the Fellowship and manages never to feel contrived or wrong.
John made a noise Ian had decided to classify as "Welsh," a sort of musical rumble. "I can't understand how they're pairing up."
Ian did look up at that. "Are you saying what I think you are?" he asked cautiously.
"Come, come, Ian. We've all had our little on-set flings. They're to be expected and, in the best circumstances, make things run more smoothly. But this! Is it Dom and Elijah? Or Dom and Billy, and Elijah and Sean? Though Sean hardly seems the type. Then I see him with Dom and wonder: Is it Dom and Sean?"
"Dear boy," Ian said, stalling as he looked around the busy set. "What evidence can you offer?"
"Evidence? Does one need evidence?" He waved toward the younger men. "They provide a surfeit, if you so desire."
