waymeet's 'Twelve Days of Christmas' challenge, this series of 12 ficlets (+ one follow-up) is sweet, funny and at times very sexy. A lovely warm fuzzies-inducing story, bound to brighten any day.
“It’s been...” Billy checked his watch... “six minutes since I got here, and so far you’ve crushed my hand, trodden on my foot and ripped out my hair. What next? You going to sit me under another tree and have a bird shit on my head?”
Dom barely suppressed a laugh. “You left out making your lip bleed.”
“Aye, well, that was fun, though...” Billy smiled at Dom. “I wouldn’t mind a proper hello kiss, you know...”
Dom grinned and stepped toward Billy, arms open, only to meet the flat of Billy’s hand implacable against his chest.
“Don’t you dare move,” said Billy. He stepped forward until he was body-to-body with Dom. “Stay right where you are. I’m going to kiss you now, and I don’t want to be injured, again.”
Dom stood stock-still and let Billy press quizzical lips against his.
“Well, you could respond, you know,” said Billy, pulling back.
“You told me not to move,” said Dom.
“Is that all it takes?” quipped Billy. “You mean, all I had to do all these years when you were busy fidgeting yourself out of chairs and onto peoples’ nerves was to tell you not to move?”
“Well, yes. That and kiss me deeply, right here...” Dom looked into Billy’s eyes, touching his finger to his own lips.
