Why this must be read: the_dala’s gorgeously creepy OT4 darkfic, By Blood Undone was recced here before. “Beggars Banquet” is rather the fluffy opposite of that (except for the four-people-in-bed bit). Set post-CotBP (but written before DMC), this three-part series and its sequel, “By the Light of Dawn,” results in the perfect happy ending for everyone involved that Disney would never allow them to have.

Jack, of course, is only under the delusion that he’s in charge of it all. He clearly underestimates the way his companions can gleefully turn on him—in a good, sexy way. Jack may never move again.

Honestly, I rarely read polyfic in any other fandom*, but I am completely willing to believe it in PotC. the_dala is one of those authors who’ve helped convince me.

*The only regular exception being Doctor Who / Torchwood. Apparently, I am willing to accept Captains named Jack in various and sundry combinations.
