Why this must be read: I know what you’re thinking: these are three fandoms that really *shouldn’t* go together. Plus, this fic has the same-actor-different-role cliché, which I generally despise. And yet?
monkeycrackmary makes it all work perfectly.
I especially liked the pacing of this fic. For example, when the female vampire first appears to Mike, I thought at first, with the dark hair and pale skin, it might be Dawn. Then, with the ambiguous dialogue, I thought it could be Drusilla. When I finally realized who she was, I was practically smacking myself in the forehead. I admire how the author built to that revel with such a sparsity of words.
Oh, and of course Giles and Pearse knew each other.
