Man from U.N.C.L.E./A-Team (NC-17)
Here the past can come back to bite you on the kneecaps, even when it isn't yours. . .
Title: The Parallel Lives Affair by Anne Higgins
Pairing: Napoleon Solo/Illya Kuryakin, various m/m non-con
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: Anne's Fiction
Why this must be read:
Because Mr. T. gets kneecapped!
Okay, as a descendant of Belfast Irish, I admit it's not exactly a kneecapping. However, for anyone who felt that B.A. Baracus AKA Mr.T.'s fighting style was too WWF to work in the real world (c’mon, I can’t be the only one), prepare to be entertained.
While some authors only use U.N.C.L.E.’s secret involvement to explain Hunt Stockwell and Napoleon Solo's remarkable resemblance to each other (and Robert Vaughn!), Anne Higgins goes the extra mile here. Her re-interpretation of the A-Team episode The Say Uncle Affair actually makes the A-Team's fifth and most bizarre season far more logical (yes, I said logical).
While The Parallel Lives Affair is the third fic in a Man from U.N.C.L.E. series, it stands completely on its own. For A-Team fans, not only is this story happily Frankie Santana free, this is also a rapefic where Face isn’t the blond getting raped (I swear the character seemed as shocked as I was). For Man from U.N.C.L.E. fans, fear not, Illya is not a scrawny, helpless waif here. In fact, the only character I felt sorry for by the end was the rapist, which also took me by surprise.
Overall, this is a guilty pleasure of a story about violence begetting violence, and Mr. T. losing a kneecap (yay!).
