Identity by Aelora (R)
Fandom: SMALLVILLE
Pairing: Lex/Hudson, Hudson/Louis
Author on LJ:
aelora
Author Website: Downfall
Why this must be read:
aelora's Hudsonverse is well known throught SV fandom; and it's even been recced here before. It's rare to see a genderbend of a story that works better than the actual canon, but Hudson's stories are a breath of fresh air as compared to the show.
While the Hudsonverse as a whole is delightful, "Identity" stands out as the masterful first chapter of Superwoman's identity story. Especially delightful here is the character of Louis Lane- it amazes me how Aelora makes Lois a man and still stays truer to the canon character than any of the recent adaptations have (Smallville and Superman Returns).
An awesome superheroine and an origin story to kill for make Identity a story not to miss.
