Why this must be read: A beautiful character study weaving together all the people Chase has (and hasn't) slept with, from his days at seminary school through "Finding Judas." There is plenty of sex with both men and women, but it's far from a PWP. This fic offers intriguing backstory for an often-overlooked character, realistic details, attention to Chase as a doctor and an Australian, well-sketched OCs who don't overwhelm the narrative, and such palpable longing, for House and for everything he's lost throughout his life and can't quite let go of. I urge you to give this a try even if Chase isn't your favorite character; he isn't mine, and this story mesmerized me.
