Ivory Tower by simplystars (pg-13)
Hi, I'm Kate and I'll be driving the Farscape van for this month. I'm really excited, because there really is some wonderful Farscape fic out there. I am a huge John/Aeryn shipper, so a lot of the fan fiction will be of that variety. That won't be everything I rec, though. This is an example of that.

sugargroupie's Gilded Cage, Ivory Tower is one of the most intruiging and interesting pieces of Farscape fan fiction that I've ever read, and certainly one of the most unusual. The story is from the perspective of the Princess from the season four episode, John Quixote. It is so unexpected and, frankly, just plain awesome.
This John Crichton had kissed her, and the game had not ended.
He has chosen game death, has reset her level, has killed Harvey, has cut down the Ogre and been slain by him in turn; has re-started over and over, trying each permutation one by one. It has never happened before, but it seems that this is no ordinary Player.
"You really are John Crichton," the Princess whispers, tracing one finger along his bottom lip as he sleeps on.
She is aware of the Avatar at work in her program, editing code and enhancing the scripts that dictate her behaviors and responses. The Princess is infused with a new sense of resolve as the Avatar adds elements from Crichton's memories to her character template. When the transfer is complete, she is assigned new duties.
