Well I'm a sucker for a great opening, for tough guys who have the emotional maturity of housepets who stumble through important things with as much as grace as an ox wearing a blindfold and for fantastic titles.
In some ways this is a "we aren't gay, we're just men having sex with another man" fic, but to me it is about growing up, screwing up, and realising that even though you may not get a second chance with the person in your bed there is always the chance for a second chance over all.
Also some lines are extremely funny. You'll feel a little bit guilty for laughing.
Supernova: A rare celestial phenomenon involving the explosion of most of the material in a star, resulting in an extremely bright, short-lived object that emits vast amounts of energy.

We had just lost to the Devils in the first round of the playoffs in '97. So the most fucked up, pissed off and downright obnoxious guys on the team decided to go to a bar to drown our sorrows. Of course Scott Thornton and I were there.
