Tony's Apartment by Devix (PG)
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: None
Author on LJ: N/A
Author Website: N/A
Why this must be read: With a light but authoritative hand, Devix sketches a portrait of DiNozzo that will resonate with anyone who sees beyond his fratboy persona. Unlike most character sketches that deal with the hurt little boy inside DiNozzo, this one stays well away from the overwrought, woe-is-me navel-gazing that many writers find hard to resist. It's a quiet, but powerful piece. Nicely underwritten with soft pastel descriptions and subtle but strong emotion.
The apartment came furnished.
It's modern. All clean lines and glass and stainless steel. It's not where he imagined he'd be living, but the rent is good, and the neighborhood is good, and the super's nice, and he likes his neighbors, and it's close to the office.
