Clark stands and waits. When they're all finished and Chloe is pulling her coat tighter around her he walks around until he's facing her.

It's not as bad now, the way she looks right through him. The first few years it had really bugged Clark, but like everything else in his life it had just taken some time for him to get used to it. He suddenly can't resist any longer, and he reaches out and brushes his fingers against her sleeve.

Chloe's whole body freezes. "Clark?" she says, whipping her head to the left and turning around in a circle. "Clark, where are you?"
