Why this must be read:
Some may quibble about what sort of a parent he was, but there's none I think will argue that John Winchester isn't nine types of bad-ass.
So when the Man in Black himself writes a song about Revelations and the Apocalypse, with lines like There's a man / goin' round / taking names, it's perhaps inevitable that the fandom-affected brain would turn, naturally, to John, self-made hunter and father of hunters. This fic works like a prose soundtrack to accompany the song - a verbal montage of John Winchester doing what he does best.
He doesn't ride a pale horse, but if you're an evil son of a bitch, death sure as hell follows with him.
