Treading Water by nekosmuse (R)
Fandom: HOUSE, M.D
Pairing: Cuddy/Stacy
Author on LJ:
nekosmuse
Author Website: here
Why this must be read:
I like Stacy. Most Housefen, however, would disagree. Which leads to certain problems - namely, the portrayal of Stacy as a raving harpy. This story, however, is different. Set some time after the end of the Stacy arc, it has a brilliant Cuddy voice, and it builds things up between the two of them slowly, *beautifully*, using the bits and pieces of friendship we saw on the show and highlighting their loneliness and House's role in their lives in such a way that in the end, when you're done with it, you're left thinking, "Of course! Why did I never see it before?" Also, girlslash. Go read, and remember to feed the author!
