Why this must be read:

Once upon a time farscapefriday held a future tense challenge and Shaye wrote this little gem that captures in 300 words the constants in Olivia Crichton's life; how she herself is a constant while still keeping watch for her brother. What I love about this is the atmosphere and the layers to Olivia's character Shaye manages to make in such a short piece of fiction.

She will have moments of clarity in the long hours of the night, when she understands that all the world has changed, and this is not a homecoming worthy of her brother.
