Deliverance by Callisto (PG)
Hi, everyone! I'm Rebelcat and I'll be reccing your Starsky and Hutch fics this month!
And I've got a theme! See, there's this yearly competition (which by the way closes at midnight tomorrow - September 4th), called the Paula Wilshe Awards in honor of Paula Wilshe who was a great encourager of new S&H authors. You can get the whole story here.
My plan this month is to rec a story from each of the finalists. Except myself, of course!
Fandom: STARSKY & HUTCH
Pairing: Starsky/Hutch
Author on LJ:
callistosh65
Author Website: Hopefully she's tagged everything!
Why this must be read:
Our first finalist, in alphabetical order is Callisto, whose "Deliverance" is short, sweet, and very tart. The above rating is a ballpark, which holds unless you've actually seen the movie. However, if you've seen the movie, I hope to God you're old enough to read something rated higher than PG.
Excerpt:
Starsky heard a clang followed by a curse and wondered if he could get away with a smart remark. He put his book down, looked at the blanket covering his legs and the glass of juice next to the array of pills to his left. Who was he kidding? He could get away with spitting on the Bible and stamping on Hutch’s dahlias right about now...
Deliverance
Go on, read it. You know you want to!
