Spellcheck by Shay Sheridan (G)

Fandom: THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Pairing: none
Author on LJ: [personal profile] shayheyred[Unknown site tag]
Author Website: Chez Shay

Why this must be read:

I can't think of any story of Shay's I wouldn't recommend (other [community profile] crack_van drivers have thankfully done so on numerous occasions), but I've always had a soft spot for the sly humor in this one.  Like in any other fandom, MFU has a couple of key topics that fans like to debate and creatively address; a couple of these include "How did Napoleon and Illya meet?"; "Is Illya a defector?" and "What the heck happened to the Return movie?!"

And then there are the more nitpicky details that absorb the attention of fans, such as "Are Napoleon's eyes actually hazel or brown?  And if they're brown, are they chocolate or whiskey-colored?"  Shay brilliantly explains how Illya Nickovetch Kuryakin became the man we come to recognize and love at UNCLE.  To tell you any more would be a crime, but at least in America we all have at least one funny "that time when our ancestors went through Ellis Island" story...

Gah! The link is broken and poking around the author's LJ/Webpage/CGM doesn't work. Is there an alternative link?
Thanks!
