azdak wrote this based on the prompt "Trust" and, as usual, she came up with an unexpected twist on the word. I think her summary says it better than I could: Not every mission ends in friendship and harmony

The beginning of the story involves Illya being captured and brought to a dinner where Napoleon is pretending to be a member of Thrush Central. You would expect the story to then be about Napoleon trying to figure out how to rescue Illya without blowing the mission, and it begins that way, but then it becomes something else. Which I'm not going to tell you; you'll just have to read it yourself to find out.

"An UNCLE agent?" said the Professor in astonishment. In defiance of all the laws of physiology, Napoleon felt the temperature in his bowels drop below freezing. What the hell was an UNCLE agent doing in the satrapy?

"What the hell was he up to?" demanded the Professor, in an unwelcome example of great minds thinking alike.

"We have not been able to ascertain that, sir," said the butler regretfully.

"Well, bring him in," snapped the Professor. "We can't have UNCLE agents crawling around as if they owned the place."
