Why this must be read : Elly is the great (and thankfully prolific) source of Chlark smut and Kaloe smut and this story is both. But while it's incredibly hot (and it is), there's much more to the story. Both characters have a lot to atone for and fix following the events of "Exodus" and during Clark's redK summer and this story deals with both of them facing betrayal, the consequences of their actions, and growing up. It's as painful as it is sensual and will stay with you for a long time to come.

He was silent for another long moment, thinking of the way Jonathan Kent had stared at him in the hospital, then turned his back on him, as if he was a monster. He didn’t ever want anyone to look at him that way again. He didn’t want anyone to know his dark secret—that he wasn’t human at all, that he was an alien from another planet, who had apparently been sent here to rule the human race.

His own father had been scared of him, repulsed by him. He couldn’t expect anyone else to react differently. And the thought of Chloe backing away from him in horror made a knot of anxiety and pain tangle in his chest.
