While Cuddy/House is my House OTP, I have a secret kink for Cuddy/Chase fics. In this AU, neither House nor Chase made it through medical school, but House still manages to be Chase's boss. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. It's fun and smutty and the author manages to keep everyone in character. Chase is open, Cuddy is wound a little too tightly, and House has his own agenda.

House smirked, raising his beer to her. Two of those little red drinks later and House was promising her a price break with the finest thoroughbred in his stable. And with triple sec-fueled bravado, she was telling him to bring it on. She supposed, the next morning, that she could call to cancel, but how often was she in a city intended for stupid mistakes?

So here she was, sitting in a hotel bar, hoping that House wasn't just jerking her around, and waiting for her "date" to show up. Because apparently, very little in her life had changed since her undergraduate days except that she had gone completely crazy. Greg House, the universal constant of madness.
