Thought I would start off by going back to a couple of the earliest examples that I could think of in the fandom. (And one that was, yes, written at my ~~prodding~~ request. That's more or less impossible to avoid on the sg1rpf scene, but consider it disclaimed, okay?) I like hopeless escapism in RPF as much as the next girl, but I also appreciate a pretty real-life couple when I see one. Forget Brangelina. We have Mexa. Or Like. Um. If you think of a good tabloid name for them, let me know. Anyway, I love this story for its down to earth-ness, sweet without being sugary. And its banter, and portrayal of a tiny, awesome Lexa. And it's a scene that, theoretically, might actually have happened one day. Theoretically.
