Why this story must be read: This is a standalone fic, part of a series on Star Wars females. The author takes Bant Eerin, the gentle Mon Calimarian friend of Padawan Kenobi from his earliest days in Jude Watson's Jedi Apprentice books, and relates just how much the Clone Wars values gentleness. Bant swims her adult days away in a dream, written so delicately that you ache for her fate. This is a character study of an alien Jedi who seems truly alien, yet her perceptions aren't completely unhinged about the ultimate destiny of the sheltering Temple of her youth.
