Why this must be read:
Again, the hurt/comfort junkie in me says, "Ah...yes!" when reading this. I deplore stories that break up our two heros and leave them there. Conversely, I adore the ones that start off by breaking them up and then show us the road to their reunion. That's what this one does.
Normally an Archie/Horatio person, this is the first story I read that really made me think that Horatio/Bush wasn't some sort of crack-dream someone had. (Seriously, I didn't get it for the longest time. This story helped me 'get it' a lot.)
