Why this must be read:
This may be one of my favorite slash stories ever. I still marvel at the exquisitely deceptive simplicity of the guys' banter every time I read it; Illya's careful evasions and Napoleon's shameless almost-flirtation with his partner and the humor are perfectly spot-on. I love how the author turns a simple canon quirk - Illya eats a lot - into a telling psychological (OK, shamelessly psychodynamic) fact that the quietly intuitive Napoleon picks up on. Sweet without being sentimental, this is a tour de force that shouldn't be missed.
