Fanvid: Exotic Dancing, UNCLE style by vysila (G)
Vidder:
vysila
Musical artist: The Hollies
Song: Stop, Stop, Stop
Pairing: gen, Napoleon/Gorilla?
Why this vid kicks ass:
There are few things that age a show or a movie so much as dancing. In the words of the vidder, this work is "a fun romp through the nightclubs of the world with our favorite U.N.C.L.E. agents." Call it a loving tribute to the time period in which UNCLE was set - sure, we have enough ironic distance to laugh at what was played on the screen during the 60's, but the younger of us also have a chance to understand the sense of the exotic and exciting that UNCLE brought into American living rooms and others around the world, consuming a taste of the cosmopolitan world envisioned on the show. It features the best of the most campy moves seen on the show - we have Edith Partridge's rumba, Mr. Waverly's Greek line dancing, Napoleon's bellydance AND the infamous Napoleon/Baby/*the* gorilla scene! The reaction shots are absolutely precious and the timing impeccable. Yes, you know you want to watch it.
