Why this must be read:

For me reading this is like settling next to a roaring fire in the middle of winter – satisfying, hot yet so comfortable which is how these lovers are with each other in Caz’s writing. A steamy piece, full of love and tenderness that shows the years they’ve shared together. Great characterisation, as always Caz really has these boys down. Another favourite story of mine.

The entire story takes place in the shower where the guys reunite after a couple of weeks apart.

Cupping Ducky’s face in his hands, Gibbs unconsciously closed his eyes and surrendered to the gentle request to deepen the contact, parting his lips and allowing his lover to trace the contours of his mouth as the water continued to cascade. Sensation, the fierce but bridled passion of the kiss, conspired to steal his breath and he felt his toes curl in response. Nightly phone calls, whilst on the whole innocent in content, had left him feeling frustrated more than once; truthfully, they had led him to the mad dash that had got him on the last flight out of California and back to Washington. The thought of one more night listening to the dulcet, low tone Ducky used when talking to him, without being able to take him in his arms – love making aside - had been more than he could take. Pulling Ducky flush against him, he groaned his approval and kissed him back with a hunger he’d hoped to keep restrained at least until they got out of the shower.
