Two Men in a Boat by Di T (R)

Fandom: MAN FROM UNCLE
Pairing: Napoleon/Illya
Length: 73K
Author on LJ: [profile] dinahmt
Author Website: Archived at good old
File 40 and CGM

Why this must be read:

Di T's stuff is characterised by strong canon and plausible and hot sex. This is a first time story with the boys absolutely in character throughout as they explore the implications of the changes they contemplate in their unique relationship. Oh - and did I mention the hot sex?

Hey lady! How's it going in lovely Scotland?
I reread your story and when I saw the note at the bottom and realized I'd beta'd it, I was hesitant to go "Ooh! Good story!" Is it a conflict of interest? :-)

This bit of Scotland is characteristically damp :) How's sunny California?

Like an oven. Really quite miserably hot. Walking out the door is like opening an oven. Then again, at least I'm not near any of the fires. :-)

This is a great story and I have always loved how Napoleon sets Illya up.
You do know it has already been rec'd, right?

This is more advice than you want. Never ask a librarian where to look for stuff.

You have one good thing going on right now - a lot of stories move from zine to internet during June right after Media West convention.

You can also look at [livejournal.com profile] muncle and [livejournal.com profile] mfuwss memories. I go far back in them looking for stories. And I like the "Relative Secrecy" link; I wish Marion still printed it. http://users.frii.com/wanderer/online.html.

Lastly, you can try Ravenslair, although it's awful to search, http://www.ravenslair.net/ and The Wonderful World of Makebelieve.

If there is an author you like, find their homepage from one of their stories, and see what else is there.

I really wish Cord was still writing, but I don't think we'll see anything more.

The zine transfers have already started. At least two authors have gone on Chrome. Do you ever check the Quicksearch button? Look at the last 30 days

There is a second one (Gen) that I also love by NL Hayes and [livejournal.com profile] stcrispins called Two Spies Sittin’ On a Boat, Talkin’ About Sex - The Fly On the Wall Series
Part One: http://file40.net/file40g/two_spies.html

They wrote it as a dialogue, passing it back and forth.

Thank you! I thought up the story after a sailing trip when falling overboard seemed a distinct possibility.

And there is a sequel to Di's story here (http://file40.net/file40s/lonely_sea.html)
