Last week was Halloween; today I give you Christmas! There's a lot to love about this story, but what I enjoy most about it is the presence of Fraser's dead father, who has some great moments. The whole thing shines, beginning to end, and every line rings true; Pares has an excellent handle on the Fraser/Vecchio dynamic and the way they come together in this feels really natural and right.

I don't normally read DS unless it's a crossover with Sentinel (my main fandom), but I really like Pares' work in TS. This was really sweet. I'm pretty tired of hearing about how Fraser could only slash with the "other" Ray, so I'm glad to see a story with Vecchio. I've always felt he was a tender touch underneath all the bluster.

Oh, absolutely! It's there all through the first two seasons - it's patently obvious that Ray Vecchio would do anything for anyone he loves, bitching the whole time. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story - it's one of my favorites.

I love it when that happens! There's actually quite a lot out there, and happily it's still being written even years after the show ended, which is awesome :)
