This is one of the most touching and affecting Leia-ponders-her-real-father fics that I've come across. It works so well because it's a wistful rumination on what might have been without any sappiness or cloying sadness. The reader gets what feels like a truly plausible glimpse into Leia's thoughts about what it means to finally forgive the man who became Darth Vader and move on. Beautifully done.
