Nightwatch (first of trilogy) by Jamjar (NC-17)
This story ALSO has Patrick in it, and Pete, but it has Travis from Gym Class as the other half (third?) of the pairing, which is practically a rairpairing, so it totally counts as innovative and exciting reccing on my part.
Fandom: Bandom (FOB and GCH)
Pairing: Patrick/Travis/Pete
Length: 14,000~

Why this must be read: Voyeurismmm. It's Pete, waking up on the couch in the bus when Patrick and Travis still think he's asleep, and Pete still thinks he's watching just to make sure Patrick's okay:
And it just gets better - there are three parts to the story (or three interlinked stories, depending on your perspective), with the second piece giving Travie POV and the third featuring Patrick. It's so nicely rounded and angst-free and sexy, and the third section has a very nice description of finger bruises on Patrick's hips, which is worth the price of entry all by itself, if you ask me (or Pete).
Part One - Nightwatch
Part Two - Understanding: Lack of, To Have An
Part Three - Eyes Closed to Fingers Crossed

Travis's hand spreads wide, half disappears under Patrick's shirt. He says something, then leans up to kiss Patrick. Lazy, still, but Pete can recognise intent, just as easily as he can recognise convince-me in Patrick. He's not surprised when Patrick's legs spread out, just a little more. His own body tries to imitate it, that little roll of motion, but he stops himself. Doesn't want to disturb them, doesn't want to let Patrick get embarrassed about this.
Travis is a big guy, which isn't something Pete was ever oblivious of, not the sort of thing he can hide, but he never really took it in to account either. It wasn't a thing. Now, though, there's a difference in perspective. Pete's used to thinking of Patrick as solid, something to lean against, hold on to. He doesn't always think that Patrick's only average compared to the rest of the band.
