Crazy by Anya (NC-17)
Fandom: CSI
Pairing: Grissom/Sara
Author on LJ:
smut_queen
Author Website: Chasing Rabbits.org
Why this must be read:
Angst angst angst. Angst is my crack, but if you're looking for something a little bit extra - Anya writes this in the first person, bringing you right there with Sara and her emotional and melancholic thoughts as Grissom drives them to that elusive middle of no-where to hash things out. And it works - it's completely believable, even though it's darker and sexier than what we'd see on the show, its believability is what makes it so good. Anya captures Sara's inner-struggle perfectly.
And of course, it's NC-17 so you can guess what that means. If you're still not sold on the angst or the promise of wicked characterization, there's always the sex, which is just as well-written and vital to the fic as the rest of her writing. But this isn't a PWP, so don't expect gratuitous smut.
"You know that expression, ‘cold hands, warm heart?’ I always believed it.
Until I met you."
Fic: Crazy.
(Hey guys, I'm Ash and I'll be hooking you up with CSI fic that (hopefully) you haven't read before and will enjoy as much as I have :) just a note - I won't be reccing het all month, don't panic ;) from me you can expect angst and smut and smutty angst. Oh and plots! I like plots too.)
