The premise is that Stacy became pregnant from her brief affair with House, returned to Mark without revealing her pregnancy to House and then died in childbirth. The result is a vivid and perfectly in-character story that is unforgettable.
Excerpt: “You need to hold him, House." Cuddy looked up at Wilson, who'd apparently gotten the word that pigs were boarding planes at Newark and hell was having a sale on parkas. She couldn't quite imagine those two images melding together: House, mess that he was, and this child, especially this child, and she was amazed, really, that Wilson could.
