The Disturbance in the Force Affair by Lady Ra (NC-17)

Fandom: MAN FROM UNCLE / STAR WARS
Pairing: Napoleon/Illya and Han/Luke
Length: 265KB, one-shot cross-over
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] ladyra
Author Website: Visions of Pretty Boys Doing Naughty Things

Here's a story that makes me practically weep with joy, as it crosses my two favorite fandoms and pairings in the entire world. What makes it even sweeter is that the story resulted from a MediaWest*Con luncheon with Lady Ra, myself and my Evil Twin (who dangled an adorable "Two out of two Solos agree - blonds in black - it's a good thing" t-shirt in front of Lady Ra). As a thank-you, Lady Ra came up with this wonderful story, dedicated to my lovely Evil Twin.

It wasn't an easy task to find a way for two travelers from A Galaxy Far, Far Away to meet up with two very earth-bound spies, but Lady Ra is very talented with such things. Han and Luke come to Earth on the trail of a "disturbance in the Force", while at the same time Napoleon and Illya are ordered to investigate a series of bizarre events. As each pair unravels the frayed clues on either side of the escalating occurrences, Illya's mysterious past is revealed, and the four men are inevitably drawn toward each other.

I'm particularly taken with Lady Ra's portrayal of Han and Luke here, which rings very true despite her minimal writing in that fandom. Napoleon and Illya's reactions to finding themselves at the center of some pretty unbelievable circumstances are a joy to read.

By the way, Lady Ra is in the process of redesigning her website, so the link may be temporarily disabled. Please try again if you get an error message - the story really is worth reading!

I hope you enjoy this delightful cross-over story as much as I do.

Hi and thanks for teccing this. It had a neat take on all four of them as individuals and on each couple, too. I'd not guessed that the author hadn't written much for Star Wars, as the teensy error of making Unduli's Padawan, Barriss Offee, into a male wasn't enough to deter any enjoyment. I recall reading the Man From UNCLE series of novels as a girl and was reminded of the slashiest of them all, #10, sort of a h/c. This fic was well worth the read.

I have to agree with you on this fic - I adore Star Wars (and of course UNCLE), and never would have thought the two could come together, and yet they DO! I LOVE this story - I'm going to re-read it now actually *g*
