Why this must be read: Shannon is a character that I loved in canon, and she had a lot of potential they never really explored before killing her off. And I think she and Jack would have been great together.
This fic, canon-based for the most part, is able to beautifully highlight a few aspects of her, and her relationship with Boone, and Jack, and it is simply heartbreaking, but in a good way.
