Why this must be read:
This is a series of post-Destiny Max/Liz stories. While the entire fandom tried to envision what things would be like following the season one finale, these have always stood out for me. Mostly because Maggie's beautiful writing, which is concise and evocative, makes these a pleasure to read regardless of 'shipping tendencies.
"Fade" and "Breathe" are companion pieces from Max's and Liz's points of view. "Resurrection" continues the story. The epilogue, "Touch", is not to be missed. Sad, and hot, and hopeful.
"I guess it's like this: I know what the sun feels like, and now that it's gone, I will fade. Slowly, very slowly, I will fade." - Fade
